Extended Warranty
Hello all. I am planning on buying a Thinkpad T42 from Costcentral in a week or two and am worried about the warranty on it. It comes with a 1 year warranty, but I was wondering if there is a way to get an extended warranty through IBM since I am buying it brand new and factory sealed? Or is it a good idea to buy a warranty through a third party? Please get back to me Thanks.

I really don't think you need it, but if you must, I'm fairly certain IBM sells them directly.

It is $132 to upgrade to three years of depot service on IBM's website.
