We're have talked about running some sort of contest / giveaway with Notebook Review for some time both with the admins and amongst ourselves. I'd like to hear your opinions as far as what would be a cool thing to run and what sort of prizes would be nice to have.
We ran a month long contest in December and for a mascot but even though we got a ton of great entries, most people were too lazy. We gave about about 5 grand in toys including the top prize of an S5 and a second prize of Asus' top end pocket pc and a load of accessories.... So we certainly didn't mind that people have to put forth some effort to get a reward like that.
We haven't totally made up our minds, so some ideas would be great. It should boost the membership of this forum and just the overall awareness of Asus products.

I have no concrete suggestions, but a good competition should require some effort while still keeping the threshold of entering reasonably low. Find something that will allow you to reward both 'creativity' and 'inspiration' as well as 'quality'.
Remember that it is not making an effort to get toys; rather it's making an effort for an unspecified chance of getting toys. Set the cost of entry to high and all your prices will go to the 'pro' competitioners with ready entries of a wide variety (there are more of those around than you'd think).

How about how we promote Asus notebooks in daily life??

How we get attention to use Asus notebooks in daily life or using it in public something like starbucks or something.
Some people asked me where I got my W5A and they also asked me 'IF' Asus could be trusted. Not many people knew anything about Asus but it was little difficult to explain how good Asus is.
It's not like Asus has name value like Sony, IBM or Toshiba in consumer market yet (hopefully soon)
So write a review on how we go about doing it and what kind of feedback we get. Possibly refer customers to Proportable since they are giving away the prize.

Maybe, we should write about a instance when a person asks about your ASUS laptop, and you show them why its better, and the price is good, etc.
Or I was thinking a creative picture taken, with an ASUS laptop in action, in daily life or something

Yeah I don't think just writing reviews about the system would do. There are plenty already.
