Question:
Any way to change the position of the FN key?
Hi, I have to admit, I'm not into having the Fn key on the left of the Ctrl key. If I was on my laptop for 100% of the time, I wouldn't be a problem, but the whole world has the Ctrl key on the very left. I do a lot of graphics, so I use shortcuts all the time. That means a lot of Ctrl pushing.
I remember reading somewhere that there's a tiny program where you can configure/switch keys on a keyboard. Just wondering if you guys know of any? Thanks.
I've tried KeyTweak, but it won't work with the Fn key. :(

Physically you could switch those key covers and I'm sure there's a program out there that could do it..... nothing we've seen here though.

... ya, well... before you get him too excited... the FN key, of course, is the only one that cannot be remapped
...at least as far as I managed to find out. It's handled on hardware level.
and I tried really hard because stupid keyboard layouts -especially CTRL in the wrong place- are the #1 dealbreakers for me... I really wanted to get an Asus lappy :( but sadly, 's not gonna happen. As a matter of fact, there is only one notebook in the whole world that has a perfect keyboard in all aspects...

I just don’t get what moron designed that layout. I’m really happy with my V6 but, FN/CTRL key, DELETE key and small ENTER just drives me nuts ! It’s almost full size keyboard and there was much Asus could have done about it, but they chose not to…

I bought TradeKeys a couple of years back. I have just checked and the Fn key is not an option that is offered for remapping.

Correct. I've tried everything also. That's why in their discription they write: "you can remap your keyboard almost any way you want". Sorry folks, the only way you can change it, is to buy another computer. :(
