Question:
*Off topic* IR issue
Sorry this is off topic... just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas... anyway i had changed some services recently and I believe that is what is causing my IR to fail to pick up some devices. Does anyone know what service would affect Infrared ports to pick up devices? The port is definately on as it is showing up in device manager fine... it seems that there is nothing "looking" for devices... any help would be great! Sorry again for this being off topic... Well: If you disabled the, so deceptively named, 'Infrared Monitor' service, it will, as you say, stop picking up devices. Other than that I don't think there are any services directly affecting IR functionality.

oddly enough it seems to be working now... i hadnt changed anything since it didnt work... odd... :o thanks for your help though!
