Question:
Hibernate doesn't work after reinstalled Windows
After I did a clean install of windows xp, I cannot use hibernate function. It always stuck at "preparing to hibernate.." page whenever I try to use it.
It worked with preinstalled version of windows xp. I don't know what I did wrong. I followed every steps (except installing those 19 utilities) from Also, I enabled hibernation in power option. Anyone has an idea?
Note that I don't use S460, I have S45SP (I think it is asian model) which most of hardwares are the same. Only one difference is hard drive capacity. Could this be a problem? Do I need difference drivers?

What sort of applications do you have running when you go to hibernate? Shut down all your programs that may be running...also unload your firewalls.
I've run into that sort of problem when I unplugged anything from my notebook while in the process of hibernating.

if you have installed any virtual CDrom applications such like Daemon or Alchol, uninstall of it, then try hibernate.

I don't have any virtual drive installed in my system. I shut down every programs as well as unload firewall. It still doesn't work. :(
