Assuming RAM and everything is the same, is it better to buy 1.6Ghz or 1.86Ghz Centrino? Will I see significant performance/difference?

Assuming that the bus speeds are all the same, the difference won't be that much. However, the older vaios like the s270/360 have a slower bus speed as well at 400MHz compared to the newer s460 at 533MHz. Personally, I don't think the faster cpu is worth the added heat/power consumption, but that's just me.

It depends on what you're doing, but for most users the extra speed is a waste of money.
