Question:
Anyone here fall in love with their Gateway?
To me, Gateway was a revelation, certainly not the first name I thought of when I thought laptops or even computers. I got mine through a good deal at Best Buy, and I have been in love with it ever since. Now, I am thinking I prefer it to Dell, Sony, and IBM - all much more expensive options.

Well, I guess I'll have to answer that question when I get my new M250X on Friday....it definately was the best choice for the price.....a Sony Vaio that has the widescreen, a Centrino Processor, a DVD burner, a 60 gig HD, integrated wireless, and is barely over an inch thick would cost at least $1500, I grabbed my M250X for a cool $1008, I fell in love with the price I tell you that much...

Gateway has done a gramtic turn around over the last year or so, I am pretty impressed with several of their models.

I fell in love with mine, but I have an issue, which is common with this chasis. If I was to replace it, I would go with the Gateway 8510GZ.

I got mine, 3545GZ, from COSTCO. Kind of like it. I had toshiba, compaq before, and I tried DV1000 two times recently. Unfortunately those two units had power unit problem and returned. The 3545GZ has good quality and runs fine to me. (Of course some minor concerns still exists, such as too soft keyboard, location of USB ports, doesn't bundle factory install CD, ...)
Overall, good and sturdy.

I LIKE my Gateway 7510gx. It is quieter than my desktop. It is more powerful than my desktop (games rock). It has a brilliant screen.
Top three reasons why it is not love:
1 - fan comes on too often since I started using it on a wooden desk
2 - too heavy to want to carry it around
3 - came with WindowsXP HOME (I have PRO installed now)

I custom ordered an m680x on Gateway's site. Showed up yesterday - it is GORGEOUS! Fast, beautiful screen, much faster than my old desktop. Hooray! :gateway:

I'm very happy with my Gateway. Great performance, great price. The only thing I don't like is the cooling fan is almost always on!
