i6000 vs acer aspire 1692

Question:
i6000 vs acer aspire 1692
Hi,
I am trying to decide whether to buy the i6000 or an acer aspire 1692. The specs are below.
i6000 (2,300 $AUD)
-1.73 mhz centrino cpu
-dvd burner
-1 gig ram
-ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X300 PCI Express™ graphics 128 MB
-15.4 inch widescreen non glossy
-60 gig HD
acer (2,000 $AUD)
-1.73 mhz centrino cpu
-dvd burner
-512 MB ram
-ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X700 PCI Express™ graphics 64 MB
- 15.4 inch widescreen with crystal brite
-60 gig HD
I like the glossy screen on the acer but I don't know too much about acers. The notebooks are very similar - what would people consider was the better buy ?
Also, I was wondering what the difference is between the graphic cards ? X300 vs X600 ?
Thanks Tom.

I'd say that the Acer is the better deal. I see that you have the Dell at 1 gig of RAM - that can be pretty ridiculously expensive. What a lot of people do is order the least amount of RAM possible from the vendor and upgrade themselves for less. But then, I'm not sure how comfortable you are with that sort of thing.
The x600 is a more powerful card, even at only 64 megs. I'm not sure how great the difference is, but I'm sure that it's a noticeable one.
I think that at $300 AUS less, the Acer is a much better deal.
