Question:
Closing HP notebook, screen ok?
I recently got an HP ZD8000 and in between the screen and the keyboard was a layer of black material that prevents the screen from getting damaged during shipping. If I take that off before I close the notebook, will the keys damage or dirty my screen? I use this notebook for movies a lot so I wouldn't want anything to happen to it. Thanks!
Anyone here have an HD8000 that doesn't use the black material cover over the keyboard?

While I can't say for sure(but since no one else has replied yet, I will tell you what I think). I would imagine it would be fine as long as you don't put anything ontop of the laptop. I just got an HP DV1340, it also had the black felt type material. But there are many many laptop users around the woorld who close thier laptops without anything in there to protect it. And I have seen screen damage because of this, but mainly that was because they would put weight, like books or somethign ontop of the laptop.
