I9300 Temps

Question:
I9300 Temps
Hey Guys,
I have a question for you. What is the safe temp range for the NVidia 6800Go NU. Also, the safe temps for the RAM and CPU...just wondering. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: I9300 Temps
Well first off, video cards generally have a higher heat tolorance. I am not exactly sure about video cards.
However, anything over 60C for CPU is pretty bad. So keep it under that and you'll be fine. Preferably 38-53 is good. I am not sure about memory, but I believe it to be the same as CPU. Usually temperature concerns for memory isnt common.

I think anything over 104C GPU temp will give you a overheat warning next time you restart.

Are you overclocking them?

thats 219 Degrees Fahrenheit!
If thats true, I'm surprised that the components don't start melting at 200!

Re: I9300 Temps
No, I'm not absolutely sure when the overheat warning is triggered. I would assume that the overheat warning is triggered at a lower temperature. I just say 104C because my old laptop, I8600 w/ mobility radeon 9600 pro turbo, ran at 104C all the time, for a little over a year, and I'd always get the overheat warning on next reboot. I eventually ripped the thing open and replaced the cheesy thermal pads that Dell used with copper plate. This made it so that my laptop never made it over 85C. At this new temp I never got an overheat warning. So, if I were to guess, I'd say the overheat warning kicks in somewhere in the mid 90'sC.
These temps were all gathered from I8KFANGUI. So, I'm reasonably sure that my 104C temperature is indeed correct.
