closing lid
i have a v2000z and when i close the lid it locks in but i can still push it in a little more. is it like this with this model? im just worried about scratching the screen.

And to translate, you probably won't have to worry about scratching the screen. :D
Seriously though, if you are worried about keyboard imprints on the screen or anything like that, you can always get a shaggymac or similar screen protector. Check the accessories board for more on them.

My v2000z does the same thing. Doesn't really bother me.

I'm pretty sure that most all V2000Z's have this problem - And no, the latch won't ruin your screen, just be careful not to jam it in the "Closed" Position.

Mine came with a packing sheet which I use when I close the lid. Keeps the lid tightly shut.

I reccommend staying away from that idea if the "plastic-foam" sheet gets dirty - that can scratch the screen and in some cases can get the keyboard dirty too.

I second the Shaggymac screen protector. It eliminated my laptops lid/latch gap and keeps my screen MINT!
