Anyhow, to answer your question.... Asus is THE number one motherboard maker in the world, as far as I know. Their boards are always praised for their quality and stability. In my opinion... Asus's boards are foolproof; if you want to tweak and mod your computer...look somewhere else. It's hard to screw up an Asus board...LOL.

Man, sorry...I do not know much about laptops ..and I also thought they had motherboards..and my friend who works at best buy says Asus Motherboards are very poor..I dont know what he is talking about..I"m sorry to bother you.

Actually, AuroraS is correct- Asus is the #1 motherboard maker in the world. Excellent hardware, up to date components, awesome tech support, and very fast update postings on their website.

Not to mention that.. what is it? 1/3 - 1/2 of all computers on earth us have an Asus made motherboard inside... Someone's doing something right.

Don't worry...you're not bothering anyone...it's just weird to see a motherboard question on a notebook forum...haha.
But yeah...Asus makes some of, if not the BEST motherboards. In the motherboard world, you can pretty much say "Asus" is a synonym for "reliability" :p

Your friend been playing holdem with the geek squad peeps too long. Been using asus mobo's for almost 5 years in pc's now explicitly. Out of a couple thousand sold we have had alot of rma but less rma then i would like to see so i stick with them. They are a little on the expensive side and have their problems but asus is very responisble in terms of support. If you are talking about laptops then most certanly its going to be asus motherboard
