Asus M9V vs MSI m425 - which? help
I was almost going to by the MSI m425 (in USA i believe its 1022).
But then I saw the
ASUS m9v740sm56pg (other name is m9v...001P something)

They are Very Similar except Asus has a built in Camera and Mic.
My question is:
Battery life -- Asus says "upto 2 hours ... and 4 hours recharge).
I am not sure about the MSI but I remember 6 cell was about 3-4 hours no?
Is it normal for battery to be recharged in 4 hours or is that bad?

Oh PS: which would you recommend.. the MSI or Asus? In terms of sturdiness, reliability, screen quality, touchpad/performancedquality etc?

I think the M9v is the same as the Compaq B8000 is it not?
Oh, back to the point, 2 hours seems very little, that may need to be checked again.
I can't comment on the build quality, but I'm assuming it's carbon fibre composite like most if the others.

meh, battery life on both aren't too spectacular and roughly the same.. but that's to be expected of a 6-cell battery (note: the W3V uses an 8 cell).
however I'd opt for the M9V simply because it has a better video card and a webcam.

Heat issues are purely subjective... plus, it's got so much power in such a small chassis; where's all that heat gonna go?
I'm sure it's absolutely fine and you'd be really happy if you bought one :)

The M9j will be an awesome notebook..... but the US didn't and isn't going to get the "v" model.
Battery life is going to vary because the M9 takes design cues from a few different Asus models (namely the W3v, W5a, V6v)....... The M9 is going to have multiple battery options like the W5/S5/M5 and that is a huge part of what the model is all about....... So life is going to be able to be judged on probably 3 different sized batteries..... I wouldn't worry too much about this because the unit has a LOT of power and if the stock battery is a 6 cell.......... 3 hours would be normal.

Is the 425 coming to the US?? I really like the 1022, but the 425 has a better speaker solution, so I'd be up for that one.

I'll be using the laptop for uni lectures that is why I need a long life battery.
Each lecture goes on for 2 hours... I normally have 2-3 lectures in aday.. that's like 6 hours - let's minus 1 hour for all the breaks inbetween.. 5 hours.
I wish I could get a laptop that is at least 4 hours long but i aint gonna get any am i? and the 15.4" ones are too big to carry.
Anyway, someone just told me that MSI 425 is better value for money. Yes it doesnt have the camera and mic but they say that they're not really worth that much and i could get a clip on camera.
I don't know the battery life on MSI 425.. i've googled everywhere but couldn't find any info on it.
Asfor the HP b8000, does that even exist? I've been getting weird sites on google when i google that.
