Question:
Buying 6000, Spec Ok?
I am looking to buy a 6000 with the following spec:
P M 750 1.86
WUXGA Screen
1GB Ram on Single stick (will buy 2nd stick seperatly)
128MB ATI X300
80GB 5.4rpm Hard Drive
2 x 9 cell 80 WHr battery
Bluetooth
Free Shipping
Total, including VAT of £1,056.48
Any comments? This is quite a lot more expensive than in the US but this is for a company so 17.5% of that price is not paid.
Any thoughts? This is replacing an Acer 8200 Dual Core which istn't, by the looks of it, going to get to me before i need it.

Looks great. It is a solid lappy. Good specs and if you are getting a discount from the company. Then yes. :)

looks good to me also. If you need to go down in the price a bit, you could go with 2*256mb sticks for RAM, then buy 2-1gb sticks from an online vendor at a cheaper price.
Then again, with a company discount, you can save yourself the hassle, and just stay with 1gb.

I would reconsider the screen size, as the WUXGA has really small pixels, and many people don't like it. If you need a lot of information on your screen it would probably be better to stick with the WSXGA+ version (1680 x 1050). This is already pretty small for a 15,4 inch screen.

be ready to wait. my brother-in-law ordered a 6000 last week and was told this week that shipment would be delayed till the first week of Feb because they're short on supply of some parts.
