I have been watching the outlet closely over past few weeks. The items have been priced almost equal to new systems and the amount available has decreased. The large numbers / low prices existed early Jan but not since then.

The Outlet is constantly in flux and seems disconnected with the coupons and deals offered on the main site. Every now and then they'll do something like a 10% off oulet coupon, but yes, you will see the prices nearly touch or in a few cases exceed those asked for new systems coupled with coupons.
