Dell Media Experience??
Hello!!
Iīve lost my Dell Media Experience and I didnīt received any CD from Dell with drivers/programs. So I need your help in the following questions:
1. There is any way to use the Multimedia keys without Dell Media Experience??, I mean, specifically the "pres play to srtart the palyer" thing??. Iīve installed Dell MediaDirect.
2. Where I can download Dell Media Experience in Internet??. I think I canīt ask Dell for the Cd, my time is gone!!
3. When and How I can contact Dell to ask for the CD?
Maybe a dumb questions but I need some help, PLEASE!!!

1.) try installing Dell's Quickset (found on Dell's driver webpage). This has the option to press play to start and turn on laptop.
2.) its on the cds.
3.) You can right now. I would use chat, and just tell them what you told us. That you reformatted, and you didn't get a driver and software disk. You might also ask for Cyberlink PowerDvD (dvd player/decoder) and Sonic RecordNow (burning software) because they won't send these unless you specificially request them.

Thanks Southern Girl. Iīve installed the Dell QuickSet, but only give you the option of "press play to start Media Direct", and then when I press play I receive an error message telling me that I have to install Dell Media Experience, so thats the problem.
Is possible to configure the media keys in order to launch another program instead Dell Media Experience??

check under applications and Dell MediaDirect is what you need (i think).
You can't configure quickset to start another program, but the keys do work with WMP, Cyberlink PowerDVD, Winamp, and Itunes so far. You just have to have the program running.

You can't have it open a different program...but with same WinAmp it will respond to you say....pressing the next track button. :)

To use the buttons in Winamp, do the following. Go to preferences and enable the global hotkeys. This should solve your problem.

Thks guys. Iīve enabled Global HotKeys and works play, pause, next track .....
How I can change the configuration on the play (hold 2 seconds)?, I mean, if I want to launch winamp when I press 2 seconds the play button, this is possible?. I donīt have Dell Media Experience.
