Question:
Fujitsu S Series Keyboard Issue...
So from time to time, I detach my keys from my keyboard and wipe out the gook that accumulates under them. I was doing this last night and unfortunately two of the keys the black plastic part (not the rubber) came out and for some reason I cannot reattach them. It almost seems as if the top silver rivet, that the black plastic piece attaches to, has bended down into the laptop making me unable to attach it.
I don't know if that made any sense, but any help would be great in help of reattaching my 1 and 9 keys!

I've been through the same exact problem before.
First, try to use a Flat-Head screwdriver and pull up on the silver rivet. Try to duplicate the original shape/angle, but DO NOT force the issue.
Next, hook the left "black plastic part" (if that makes any sense) to the rivet and push down firmly on the right side of the key until it clicks.

and just for future reference, i think it is much better to not let stuff fall onto your keyboard :)

Thank you so much tttttada! I was wary of doing this, but it worked (I used a bobby pin because my lack of tools though). I try to be careful with my notebook, obviously, but the amount of hair/dust that accumulates in it is enough to want to take the keys off from time to time to clean.

If haven't already done so, get a few cans of "Dust-Off". I clean my keyboards with this once a week and it gets most of the hair and small particles out. This should reduce the times needed to take out the whole keyboard.

Any chance you could post a picture of this 'black plastic thing' and 'silver rivet'? One of my keys seems to have 1/2 popped off, but I was wary to completely detach it without knowing how it goes together.

Should you people be using a hairbrush rather than your keyboard :-P
Being follicly challenged I don't have this problem, but the can of air is best. It's not intrusive and doesn't invalidate your warranty.
