Re: Area 51 m5750
That would be a nice gaming notebook. Looks awfully expensive though - upgrade the RAM aftermarket, $380 for 2GB is well over what you should be paying. 1GB DDR2-667 sticks are ~$75. Also, consider just getting a single 100GB 7200RPM drive and perhaps sticking in another later on if you need more space. RAID 0 isn't the most stable array, the chances you can lose data is pretty high from what I hear.
I'm going to move this to the What Should I Buy forum so you can get some more suggestions . . I would recommend the Sager NP5760, personally. Much more power for the money.

Although the m5750 is a nice system, for the money I would also recommend you take a look at the SAGER NP5760.

Re: Area 51 m5750
I assume you're also considering the Sager NP9750 (Alienware calls it the m7700) - that particular processor is the Athlon X2 4400+. It's a powerhouse like the Intel T2500 is, I'd estimate they would be fairly similar in performance. Note that they come in two VERY different machines as far as size & weight go. The m7700 is gigantic.

Re: Area 51 m5750
Yeah when they say the m7700 is a desktop replacement they do mean exactly that. I would hate the idea of carrying that machine for an extensive period. Thats why im inquiring about the Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2500 2.0GHz 2MB Cache 667MHz FSB becasue its whats being used in the m5750 that is not as bulky as the m7700.

In my opinion, go with either HP Pavilion DV8328 series or Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 or P105
HP PAVILION DV8328 CD INTEL CENTRINO CORE DUO PROCESSOR T2250
AMD Turion 64 Mobile Processor ML-37

1024 MB DDR2
200 GB (5400 RPM)
LightScribe Super Multi DVD Burner

Intel Core Duo Processor T2050
1.0 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM (NOTE: EXPANDABLE to 2GB)
Windows Home Edition
DVD +/-RW/-RAM Double Layer Drive
802.11 a/b/g wireless: ETHERNET
4 USB 2.0

AROUND: $1500

TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO P100

Intel Duo Core T2500
17" Wide TruBrite Display
1GB (DDR2 667 MHz) NOTE: Memory Expandable to 4GB
100 GB HardDrive
Super Multi +/- DVD
Harman Kardon Speakers
AROUND: $1600
For $100 more dollars you can get a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100.
NOTE: Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 and P105 are technically the same except P105 has 160 GB or definitely 120 GB harddrive space.
BUT BE AWARE before you purchase the HP (even though i personally love that machine) because as you may know many people are complaining about certain keys which wont register when hitted upon.
NOTE: Speakers are Satellite Pro P100 are one of the top bass boosted speakers in my opinion. And Altec Lansings on the HP Pavilion? They are loud! EXCELLENT!
If you want BRIEF explanation, please let me know.
