Re: HP Warranty
If you buy the warranty separately, then it needs activation but if it is included with the laptop, then the serial number of the laptop will have the warranty tagged on to it.

Re: HP Warranty
Just fill up the card included in your package just to be safe and you are good to go. It should be in the box that has the manual and ads.

Re: HP Warranty
Call, Mail in, Register online and they might honor their waranty when you computer breaks. I purchased the 2 year IN HOME waranty when I purchased my laptop, and mailed in the registry card. When I had problems, first the dumbass in India told me I did not have a waranty??? I then pulled up my records and found where I had PAID for the Waranty, and called back with the Order # for the Waranty. That was not good enough, they wanted me to fax a copy to some waranty investigation team and they would verify my waranty within 24 hours. I told them I did not have a fax machine, and asked why they just could not pull the order number up. I then repeadetly called trying to get someone to help me out, I finally found one really nice guy, I believe on my 12th try to get someone that was willing to print my invoice from the order number and fax it, to what he told me was a building ACCROSS THE STREET!!! Well I have a new HD now, but the whole computer will be up for sale later this month, as I have a Compal HGL30 on the way from Powernotebooks.com.
