Question:
.... waiting ....... waiting ...... waiting .....
Instead of reordering my DV2000T, I've been playing the waiting game hoping that HP would start using the Core 2 Duo on their laptops but so far no luck.
Dell, on the other hand, is already selling their laptops with the Core 2 Duo so I'm assuming it's a matter of days before HP starts doing the same. right?
waiting ....... waiting ...... waiting ....... :)

Re: .... waiting ....... waiting ...... waiting .....
I don't know. I am waiting too. I was hoping to sell my DV5000. Why? Because I want something I can do a lil bit more gaming on, thats all. Otherwise.... I love it.
But waiting for the 6000t is so tiresome. Alienware's M5550 is looking nicer by the day....

I'm sure there's quite a few "bean counters" at HP thinking of the lost sales to other companies because they aren't offerering them. I just started looking at some Dell's, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

^How much sales could they lose in a month due to the Merom? I don't think that much. Still hopefull they'll hurry up and put them in there.

Re: .... waiting ....... waiting ...... waiting .....
Before anyone runs out and orders a Dell just remember that as of right now the estimates ship date of a Core 2 Duo notebook from Dell is almost 3 weeks. I know that it may end up taking less time, but given the large number of Merom notebook orders Dell may be taking right now I wouldn’t be surprised if it took the full 20 days for the item to ship, but it could ship out in the normal time it takes Dell. So if anyone wants a Toshiba, HP, Sony, etc. Merom notebook it may be worth it to wait another week to see if their preferred company ends up offering it next week. If HP releases Merom notebooks next week, and takes 2 weeks to complete an order you aren’t going to be behind more than a day or so if you had ordered the Dell, and the Dell stated shipping date estimates turn out to be accurate.
