Question:
Ati Mobility x700 drivers
Does Acer release new drivers for graphics cards or do they just release a one off set? I have an Aspire 3020 with the x700 and the drivers on the 3020 section of acer.com never get updated. I know some newer laptops have this card and seem to have different drivers so does anyone know what the latest drivers from Acer for this card are. I ask this because the offical ATI catalyst mobility drivers haven't worked on my card since 6.4 (there is a problem with resolution change which mucks up the screen which quite a few people have with this card), the latest Omega driver have the same problem, and I want more up to date drivers!

go try the omega drivers that can be found over on http://www.omegadrivers.net
I use em and they work out great ;) They kick @ss.

They do release new drivers, however you have to search through the FTP support site to find them. Look for entries that are recent and search the directory to find ati drivers. Though I was not able to get them to work on my X1300, ended up installing the new official 6.8s, which actually worked.

Hi Jawa, i have the same problem with Catalyst drivers above 6.4, I have an Acer Aspire 5021 with ATi x700 graphics card.
I hope someone will find a workaround or a solution for this problem, I am tired not to be able to switch between resolutions on my screen after installing the NEW Catalyst drivers.
