Am I the only F3Ja Owner?
Just wondering as I see a lot of people saying that they have the W3j or an A8j etc. but I have never seen anyone say they have the F3Ja http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...19&modelmenu=1 (btw if someone could tell me how to make the link appear as a word, F3Ja in this case that would be much appreciated :D)

Um if you search, you will find it has been mentioned several times. In fact, there's a lounge thread somewhere also. The model just came out in NA so of course it won't be as popular, not to mention the z/s96j already exist and they are cheaper and can be configured whereas that model is an ensemble. I have an inkling that this is a "show off my laptop" thread, akin to all those people who make threads right when they purchase their laptop, the day it ships, the day it arrives, and than general impressions, all littering the forum in a haphazard fashion with seemingly no insightfulness. Pretentious are we?

Do you have that big 9-cell battery or 6-cell one? I'm asking because here, in Poland they sell F3ja only with 9-cell battery which is not looking good.

Wow, been away from an internet connection for a few days so hadn't had a chance to read any of this.
Just so that you know this wasn't actually a "show off my laptop" thread. I did actually wonder why I had't seen a mention of this laptop here. Have you actually searched the board for this model? Sure the F3Jm comes up but that model has a different graphics card and maybe a whole host of other difference that I haven't looked into so I can't say with any certainty. The F3ja didn't really come up in any threads.
Because of this I was actually slightly concerned, Where people choosing the F3Jm over the F3Ja when the X1600 is supposedly the better card? I just wanted to see if there was some kind of general feeling that there may have been something wrong with the notebook.

Sorry, just had to bring this up again, the x1600 and Go7600 are just about equals in terms of performance, x1600 is not supposed to be the better card. Benchmarks flip flop between one another, and here's a real life performance thread (not synthetic benchmarks):
that says... in certain games one is better than the other, but overall they're neck and neck.
(ps. No, I'm not an nvidia fanboy, I like ATI just as much as the next guy, and couldn't care less which card I have.. just correcting a common misconception :) )

That test isn't exactly perfect. It uses gaming optimized drivers for NVidia and plain Cats for ATI. Also, the 7600 is clocked slightly higher than how it comes stock in most notebooks.
But, ya, the F3Ja looks neat, but I'm not sure what the different between it and the Z96J is other than some upgraded aethetics.
