how to backup CDs in osx?

Question:
how to backup CDs in osx?
Hi guys, I have a quesiton regarding backing up CDs in osx.
In windows, I backup my CDs using nero burning room.
I bought office 2004 last week, and want to make a backup of it just in case I lose it or scratch it.
I know there's a burning folder option where you can burn all your files, photos, videos...etc.
but how do I make a direct copy of office 2004? is there any 3rd party softwares for that?
thanks

There are third party programs that can do this easily; you might want to look into Toast Titanium.
Here is a tutorial on duplicating a CD in OS X:

Isn't that "very easy"? There is probably some AppleScript that does that with a double-click as well. Yeah, I don't know if I'd describe it as "very easy", but it's not a huge pain. Personally I'd just as soon get Toast and use it (for the same reason I don't really use Windows' built-in CD burning or copying capabilities....... hell, I haven't even tried making a copy of a CD through Windows itself).

Yes, the question is that Windows lacks built-in capabiliities of dealing with images. AFAIK, you can't mount or (easily) make an ISO image without third party tools like Daemon tools, Alcohol, Nero and the like. Stupid it seems to me, but MS probably know better. The lack of builtin loopback fs capabilities always bothered me in Windows.

I think the whole lack of images thing has to do with the fact that piracy uses images a lot, and to build in something to do it would be like a helping hand.
Anyways, I think if MS continued to build in more and more support, they might be in for another anti-trust thing. Thats one advantage that Apple has right now, being a minority market they can view what the market is looking at and implement it without much fear of 3rd developers going nuts over it, reason being because there isn't a large number of them as well as a few others.
