HP Warranty Policy regarding overclocking?

Question:
HP Warranty Policy regarding overclocking?
Hey all,
Does anyone know about HP's warranty policy when it applies to overclocking? If it voids the warranty I won't even think about it...but I am curious.
Thanks,
night

I don't have any documentation on the topic and it's not even worth my time to look, because I can almost guarantee that it would void the warranty. It could, however, be somewhat difficult for HP to verify what you've actually done, depending on how sly you are....

overclocking voids your warranty, BUT it goes like this, its not wrong/crime unless you get caught :D basically i wouldn't over clock that cpu its more than enough at 2.16ghz, the gpu on the other hand is worth overclocking, if you follow the x1600 overclockers forum guides here to the word you will be able to over clock it well, and it won't fry anything... as long as you do it gradually, if you just jump 30 or 40 clocks on memory or something that'll just mess you up... but usually the only way to damage something by overclocking is by increasing the voltage to that component so that it frys the circuit... just follow the guide, and you should probably undervolt your cpu so you can save on battery...

There is nothing you can overclock other then the video card and nVidia and ATI both support overclocking in their drivers. You don't need to worry about voiding the warranty. Just do some reading and follow a guide to overclocking video cards so that you have some idea as to what you are doing.
