Only morons accidentally drop their laptops? I think for $100/year it's well worth it.
No experiences yet though.

i'm very careful with mine and wouldn't drop it in 100 years. i think of accidental damage as covering dumb things like drink spills

Re: Dell Complete Care
Some of us know what an accident is so it comes down to whether or not you want to pay an insurance premium.
Of course, this then introduces a moral hazard.
I got it because I know my wife will drink coffee near her laptop. She knows that she has this insurance so she is not discouraged from drinking around her laptop.
I suppose if she doesn't spill coffee on her laptop then it will be, in hindsight, a waste of money. If she does spill it then it will be worth every cent.
I'm hoping she doesn't have an accident but consider it a small price to pay for peace of mind.

I agree with jasonqb - Dell's Complete Care is worth it, especially if you know you're going to be doing some potentially harmful/not so good things around your notebook (drinking, high risk of dropping your notebook, etc.)

Re: Dell Complete Care
Being in college, having it is a no brainer for me. No I dont intentionally put it in risky positions, but a college dorm/campus is still a high risk area and even if I never need it, it will still be worth the cost in the peace of mind. Personally that amount of money is well worth it to protect a $2300 investment.
