"Renting" a laptop in Canada

Question:
"Renting" a laptop in Canada
Hi,
I need a laptop very soon for a 2 week trip im taking where ill be away from a computer. The thing is, i'll only really need the laptop for just 2 weeks. I'd need a laptop for university next year, but i'm thinking of maybe holding off until Centrino Pro (Santa Rosa) and Windows Vista.
Does IBM, Dell Business, HP business or any other reputable brand "rent" laptops?
My other idea is to buy a thinkpad.......use it for the time which i need it...and then just return it. Kind of immoral...but id be purchasing one anyways later on and ive already owned a couple. What is the return policy in Canada, can i make my return safely? Does anyone think my idea will fly?
Anyways, thanks

Lenovo is the only brand I'm aware of in Canada that would lease their notebooks.

you can buy a dell and return it within 20 days,

This is the reason why Lenovo no longer has a 30 day no questions asked return policy.

I could see that plan going wrong in so many ways.
