Dell Battery problem

Question:
Dell Battery problem
Well I got my 9400 from the dell outlet, the battery life was terrible, only 53mins from a full charge! thats only browsing the internet! anyways I pressed and held the life button and got 4 out of 5 lights on the machine! in the owners manuel it said that if 5 light up, then less then 60% charge capicity remains so if four light up, thats a pretty bad sign. anyways I called dell up and they had me do various things, Anyways they are sending me a battery I wonder if it will be a new one or not, but if they come threw on this then I will keep my 9400 as I still have 15days to decide to take it back. so far compairing it to my acer is has much better build quality, rattles a lot less and just feels better. I hope this works out.

Re: Dell Battery problem
I am pretty sure that the each bar represents 20%--so that 5 lights would be 100%. Do you have the 6 cell or 9 cell? Either way you should be getting more than an hour browsing the web. If you have issues with the battery again, ask them to extend your return period. They can do it. best of luck.

Re: Dell Battery problem
yeah it tells the charge is you just press it once. but if you press and hold the button it shows the battery health. it said this in the owners manuel.
Yeah they are replacing it so they say so I guess everything will be ok. also it said in the battery health dell control panel that my battery has lost capacity so they should replace this since I haven't even had the computer for a week
