100 GB (5400 rpm) or 80 GB (7200 rpm) for Zepto Znote 6314W

Question:
100 GB (5400 rpm) or 80 GB (7200 rpm) for Zepto Znote 6314W
I am planning to make a purchase for Zepto Znote 6314W, not sure whether I should go for a white or black case though.
Also, Zepto said I can change the hard drive from 100 GB (5400 rpm) to 80 GB (7200 rpm) for the same price. Is the extra speed worth trading for 20 GB of additional space? However, I will be using some demanding applications, and maybe even several at once. I just wonder whether the difference will be sufficiently noticeable.
Finally, anyone know or think Zepto will have a price slash after x'mas? At the moment,Znote 6314W only for £800 (includ. VAT) sounds like a good deal already. I can't decide whether to wait for X'mas sales time or not.

I would definitely go for the 80GB(7200rpm) I'm wondering why they still build notebooks with 5400rpm HDDs. A black one looks always more attractive and professional (IMO).
anyways, it all depend on your taste, we could help you more if you fulfill the .

Yes...go for the 7200rpm HD. There will be a noticeable performance increase.

If you need the extra space, get an external hard drive. They are pretty cheap and you can store all of your data, movies, videos, music, etc on them. I'd only get the 100GB drive if you HAD to have all the data right on the laptop and couldn't bring along any sort of external drive. You will notice a speed increase in the loading of applications, games and your OS.

Hi Wongg! I had to make the same decision you are faced with ~1 month ago, went for the 80Gb 7200rpm and I'm very satisfied. I bought a second 80gb 2.5" 5400rpm external for my data (digicam pics, videos, music and iso-images). Works fine for me!

Thank you very much for the replies.. I think I know which one to go for :)
People who have the 6214W in black. Is the surface and material of the chassis case similar to the Apple Mac Book in Black?

I'd also opt for the faster drive unless I absolutely needed the extra space, and even then I'd go for an external drive.
Personally I like the white look but wouldn't get it knowing I'd make it look dirty.

I'd opted for the 80gb at 7200 rpm, then i purchased an external enclosure (icy box) with a 320 gigs hard drive, really nice.
