When does Dell have large coupon deals? I missed the $750 off deal they just had. Was that just a freak event or does it happen every quarter?[?]

I think it just a clearance thing they did. Don't expect anything big in the next few weeks either, the best u can get now is probably around 20 or 30% off at most. Who know, may be they bring it back in the spring or so to clear out some more older models.

yea, maybe they'll do one in the spring because thats when they said they would stop production of the 8600 and the 600m. But right now, you might get lucky and find something good in one of those Dellf things. everyone wins a prize, and you might find something good if ur lucky (possibly even an escalade with a 42 inch plasma screen in it[:D][:D][:D])

that $750 was a once in a blue moon thing, don't expect anything that good anytime soon. the next coupon coming is 25% off on Dell 9200 or Dell 600m (starts on 12/9 if my mind serves correct)

The $750 off special was in the middle of October and October was the end of Dell's fiscal 3rd quarter. Late enough to see how the quarter was going, but early enough to build and ship before the end of October
Unless there is a Christmas special, I would look to the middle of January for the next major push to close business before the 4th qtr and fiscal year ends Jan 31. Nothing like doing all you can for the year end sales results and bonuses.
Of course component availability, competition, and product changes may impact any specials.

I just ordered a Dell Inspiron 600M, 1.8 Ghz, 80 GB, 512 MB, 8 x DVD + & - writer and lots of other nice extras. Go to the Computers page and then select the choice at the top of the list. I think its called "Hot buys and limited time offers."
I paid about $1852.00 including shipping and taxes. I tried to price it out on the Dell Web site and it was around $2,400.00.
Worth looking at. Costco has always treated me great.

i am interesting in dell 700m,but i missed the big sale at october too.now it's a $350 off deal on the website.is any possible that it will have a big sale again?

We are almost out of time for a special Christmas sale if the current ship date for a 700m is 12/20. I don't see the other PC companies having great discounts and forcing Dell to do more.
Rather than focus on the coupon, watch the total price, after discount, on the congifuration you want. Dell constantly changes the free upgrade offers, currently hard drive and CDRW, as well as the coupons.
With the Christmas 'rush' almost over what will Dell do to generate sales after Christmas and going into January? The chipmakers are talking lower sales next year so we will see how that impacts PC pricing.

I just tried Costco out and they dont seem to be able to compete with the current offers Dell is offering.
Granted I used the EPP, but the 8600 I spec'ed out was almost $300 cheaper through Dell with the 20%off and additional $200 off coupon. And Dell has free shipping and a free printer.
Maybe when Dell has nothing good going on, but otherwise it didnt work for me. And with Costco, you're stuck with their configuration. I only spec'ed it out the same throuh Dell to compare apples to apples. Not the way I would have wanted it.
Just my 2 cents.
And yes, I did see a 25% coupon floating around right after I purchased my 9200 (used the 20% when I purchased it)--anyone know if I can get a price adjustment if I find another?
