Question:
FN Keys .....Display Question for Vista. Drivers or Settings.
OK, My FN keys work perfectly fine when using the FN keys.
The problem is it it does not display anything on screen. You know the green bars on the screen or action word.
Ex: The Volume & Brightness Bars or the mute on/off etc:
Is there a certain Driver from Acer or a certain settings to get that green FN menu on Vista?

Yes, you need QtZgAcer.exe running, which is the Launch Manager that gives you the OSD.

As previously stated in this thread you need acer's launch manager program in order for the FN keys to function in vista. Go to the acer euro site located here select your notebook series and download launch manager for vista.

I installed the latest driver for Launch manager from the Acer Euro site and the Fn key still does not work. All my other standard keys work fine.

There was never a OSD for brightness...only for volume..
Quite frankly I don't like using FN keys for volume, its really inconvenient, especially with Acer's crappy sound volume too..
I wish they had a manual up/down button for volume or a dial...anything is better than the FN keys
