Hi, I bought the A8Js looks cool , nice colors on screen, one thing that bother me is the cpu fan which is always working and there is a bit noise of faning,
is that normal? how can it be change?

I don't think that the fan can be changed, not that changing it would be a good idea. So what's the A8Js like in terms of performance and how much did it cost? I'm thinking of getting one.

I think you're better off just letting that fan do its job. It's quite a powerful system you got running there in a small package. Let the cooling system do what it's designed to do.

Well, I bought it Taiwan, cost me 48,000NT which is around 1450USD,
The spec here for this machine is T5600 and 1GB DDR2 667Mhz and Nvidia 7700.
Sinch it was a taiwanese OS version I just installed english one and I will do some performance testing.
I installed ghost recon advanced warfighter, put it to high resulotion with Asus higher performance mode, the game run smootly with no issues...nice colors...:)

Quick question on build quality. How sturdy are the hinges? Seem a bit exposed compared with the W3J and V6 series? Congrats on getting a great notebook.

the build quality is good, the hingers are very sturdy not like the W3J,
I was thinking to buy the W3J, he is so preaty and i fall in love with him, but he looks and i felt it less strong...

It has a core 2 duo in it. According to the wattage it use, it will require more cooling. therefore the fan will be on more often. Its a small exchange for a 64bit processor.

Can those of you who have the new A8Js post some temperature numbers? I'd be curious about CPU, GPU, and HDD temps during normal operations. I'm not sure what the easiest/best software to do this under Windows, but Gophn posted a good tutorial at;

just wait a couple of days, I should have my a8js at the end of the week 5with c2d 7200, 2Gb of ram, 100 Gb HD 7200 rpm and nvidia 7700 :D
