Question:
FlawlessComputers.com REVIEW!
This is a review of FlawlessComputers.com
To begin with, please remember that I am a Marine currently serving in Iraq. Keep this in mind when I talk about email return times and package delivery times (both were incredible, in my opinion).
Before searching for a store I spent several days digging information up on different computer systems. It turned out that that Sager 5760 was the best choice for me. I do a lot of audio work and a lot of graphics work. I am about to start up college for graphic design, so I need a good performer.
I first found out about Flawlesscomputers.com on Google on November 7th. Over the next few days I asked Brian a few simple questions about upgrade options. I could not place the order for my computer until November 15th (pay day!), so I surfed around trying to beat the price, trying to find a complaint against flawless…basically just trying to prove this company wasn’t a dream come true.
November 15th came. Brian informed me that my laptop could not be guaranteed to ship before December 15th. This kind of disappointed me, but he he explained they were updating stock and redoing the website. In the end I decided that his complete honesty was reason enough to buy from them. My friend ordered his MacBook Pro 45 days ago and the company hasn’t even given him a ship date…and they ignore his emails. Brian went out of his way to inform me of this shipping issue well before I placed my order.
So on November 17th I placed my order and expected to get my laptop right around Christmas time (what a great Christmas present!). A few days after my order Brain emailed me to inform me that he had taken the liberty to upgrade me from a 100gb 5400rpm drive to a 7200rpm hard drive. WOOHOO!
So I sat patiently here in the notebook forums reading about my future laptop. On Dec 1st I decided to send a quick email to Brain;
Brian,
I know it is not December 15th, but I was wondering what the status of my order is.
Within 30 minutes I received a reply saying that they had emailed me my tracking number 2 days prior to my other email address :o (I was just to lazy to check there).
Shipping took 14 days from the United States to Iraq, which is about average.
I did NOT opt for the dead pixel warranty, but when I ran a monitor program I came up with no dead pixels. I ran 3dMark06 which they installed on the computer for me and scored a 4624. They sent me a computer case with all the cds…even a rebuild cd which companies like alienware charge for. They sent me a laptop case as well. Everything was well packaged.
Now I did find one small problem which is being taken care of. Accidentally they shipped my computer without Bluetooth. Now, through a NORMAL retailer this might be a huge issue. Two weeks to ship it back, a few days for them to work on it, and then 2 weeks to get it back into my hands….ICK! But not with flawless! I emailed them and explained I was having an issue with the Bluetooth. I had feared it was not installed, but I didn’t feel like opening the case to check. About 10 minutes later Brian responded, he had looked through everything and decided that my system had not had Bluetooth installed. Originally he offered to give me a 20 dollar rebate, send me a Bluetooth usb thing so I had Bluetooth access while in Iraq, and to pay for the repair as soon as I got home from. This offer was more then reasonable, but I countered that offer. Why not just send me the Bluetooth module and I will install it. I am a computer tech so he is sending it straight to me so I can install it myself. So, I get a good excuse to rip open my laptop and install something (which I love to do) and I get to save another $20. I could see how some people might look at this as a bad thing, but it took less then 20 minutes to come to an agreement from a world away. They are letting me service my own laptop…and I will still have the Bluetooth installed before I even expected to have my laptop! These guys are amazing and every single computer purchase from me (which is about every 6 months) will be from these guys.
So, I give FlawlessComputers.com a 4.8 star rating. I could not be more pleased. I paid $2125.00 ($2105.00 after the Bluetooth mix up) for a fully loaded Sager/Clevo….most people pay $2500+ for the same exact setup.
If any of you are in the market for a new laptop….use FlawlessComputers.com and post about it!

Could you tell the specs what you got for that price?
Answer:
Re: FlawlessComputers.com REVIEW!
Sure!
WSXGA
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0ghz
1GB (1X1gb) Cosair 667mhz ram
100GB 5400rpm HD (my free gift was an upgrade to a 7200rpm hd)
Intel Wireless with Bluetooth
Nvidia 512mb 7950GTX graphics
and then of course all of the other wonderful things that come with the Clevo/Sager case.
UPDATE ON THE BLUETOOTH: Brian just emailed me literally 15 seconds ago and said he was going to overnight me the bluetooth module. (he was paying shipping of course) I told him not to rush, I am in Iraq and it wont make the shipping any faster. It is the thought that counts and if I was in the states I would have my bluetooth installed well before I even expected my computer to have arrived....AMAZING customer service.

what about the refresh rates of the wuxga that scares you? should i be worried? I figured that the higher resolution would be better for the 17 inch screen and the 7950gtx.

Re: FlawlessComputers.com REVIEW!
I'll just toss in my 2 cents on this as well...
After much comparison between the various resellers, I finally ordered a m570u from Flawless on the 4th. I was extremely happy that they were able to deliver the lowest price along with free upgrade (Brian bumped me up to a 100GB 7200 rpm drive as well) and their standard 3-year warranty (unlike others who charge a fair amount extra for that).
As others have said, Brian is always very responsive and helpful in email communication throughout the order process.
The only downside is that I don't yet have my machine, so I can't yet speak to the actual product, but service so far has been great, and I would happily suggest them to others (feel free to tell 'em I sent ya ;) ).
I should also mention that I also exchanged some emails with PowerNotebooks during my decision-making process, and they were extremely nice and helpful as well. In the end, price and the warranty ended up being the deciding factor for me in my decision.
I'll be sure to post more once I finally get my machine and put it through its paces. :)
