Did HP just jack up their prices?
Well today I decided I'd order my HP DV2000z so I went to the HP site and configured the exact setup I posted here 1 week ago and it was up to $805 from $730? I'm positive it's the exact same configuration, anybody know what happened?
I was planning on ordering it today but with this, I'm confused. The $100 is still instantly off along with the $50 rebate.
I also configured the HP DV2000t with the same equipment but the Core Solo instead of the MK-36 and it was $20 cheaper (still nearly $780). Is this normal, will it come down in a week?
Dang...maybe I just have bad timing.

I configured a dv2000t a few days ago. Today I checked, and it was $10 more, but had an added free upgrade of the dvd/cd player. They did say somewhere that prices could change without notice...

Prices can easily change without notice. It's the company's right to change them as needed/wanted.
I'm betting the reason the prices have gone up is that the specials for the holidays are ending.

They do have some new specials good until the 20th, it appears from the advertising brochure I received in the mail the other day. I didn't check specials before Christmas, so I don't know how these compare.

Prices were lower the last few weeks maybe because of the holiday season.

I suspect higher if for no other reason the the increased RAM requirement plus the cost of Vista itself.

Dang! I just noticed that the free printer is no longer part of my dv2000t deal. Apparently they put in the dvd/cd player upgrade instead. But it is worth less than the printer... Yes, prices are going up...
