I'd recommend you try calling them if you're not connecting through email. I wouldn't wait 6-8 weeks for response by email. I'd be calling after 1 week max.

I don't think the issue is with the number of threads, but perhaps reposting of questions that are already being discussed or have been answered in existing threads. Repetitive questions in multiple threads only add to clutter in the forums and make it harder for others to find relevant information with their own searches. Perhaps this is what they were getting at.
The HGL30 may not be refreshed with Centrino Pro right away, so keep that in mind.

In that case I'd wait until summer to buy a new notebook. There's no doubt that there will be new offerings after Centrino Pro debuts.

What can a mac do that a pc laptop cant? (and vice-versa)
I dont know if this is true but i think i remember hearing that a mac laptop can run windows now? if thats true, it should run linux and then it would be far better i think...?
