HP WXGA+ BrightView vs WXGA+ Ultra Brightview
Ok I think I have the acronym thing down for the laptop screens but I can't figure out why if I buy a dv8000 that I would spend 100 bucks more for a screen that is still a WXGA+? What is the difference when they say Ultra brightview compared to just brightview? Hp has the usual good better best comparison in the 3 available displays but I don't think I need the super high resolution on it so for me it was either the default or the ultra brightview. Anyone know if it's worth it or even noticeable?

+Anymore opinions on HP as a company, I plan on buying a 3 year warranty so I figure if they don't use great components that even if they die I still have the hardware warranty. Do they have good customer support, i've heard good and bad(and actually experienced one bad with a desktop for a relative).

The way that ChazMan421 explained it to me it that HP simply puts an extra backlight lamp behind the display. Is that worth it to you? It wouldn't be for me.
It is not just another extra lamp, important thing is, The way it is placed one on top and another bottom. This way light is much more uniform than most Laptop LCD screens with only one lamp at the bottom. Ofcourse it may also helps with brightness.
Hp claims the WUXGA offers extra colors.... is this true?

I can tell you for sure, I've seen them side by side and the Ultrabrightview is worth every penny. It seems HP's Ultabrightview and Sony's X-Brite Truecolor (not ECO) negate the reflective glare disadvantages of Glossy screens. and in my comparison Ultrbrightview's lowest setting was still better than Brightviews highest, it spreads the light more evenly. Killer screen.
