E1505 Rocks!

Question:
E1505 Rocks!
I received my first laptop, the E1505, 7 days after I ordered using the $750 coupon. Price was great at $1K and I haven't had a single problem with anything. The specs in my signature are correct but just to clarify - I got a T2400 Duo Core chip, with 1GB of memory, the standard Intel integrated video card (I'm not a gamer) and the 60gb 7200RPM hard drive upgrade. I was worried about the Dell 1390 wireless card and whether it would work with my Westell Versalink 327W router. I never had a single problem - just entered my network key when I was initially prompted and it automatically, instantly connected and has never once faltered. I am certainly NO expert, but I would absolutely recommend staying away from any of the Intel wireless cards and stick with the Dell brand or consider buying an Atheros card. I've borrowed two different laptop brands (IBM Thinkpad T42 & HP 8230) with an Intel 2200B card and NEITHER worked on the internet AT ALL without numerous disconnects, even tho we had 5.8ghz phones.
I love the 15.4 screen and I don't think I would have liked the small. compact print appearance of the UXGA, top of the line screen upgrade. The regular screen with the TrueLife upgrade for $29 is good for me. I don't notice any light leakage, but I haven't tried it outside in daylight yet. It's significantly dimmer on battery, but I think I can change the setting if I want and just run down the battery faster. We use E1505 on AC power anyway. Doesn't seem to run too hot - at least not after 4 hours of internet surfing, etc. We bought a little stand to help keep it cool. It is WHISPER QUIET! Only time i heard any noise is when I was copying two very large sets of files simultaneously in File Explorer. Then, you could hear those Duo Core chips chirping away.
About the only cons I see are I'm not crazy about the actual keys on the keyboard (a little too small with not enough height) and I don't particularly like the silver coating (white trim looks a little tacky to me also) but I don't much care about the looks. I do care about scratches, and I don't think the outer cover will hold up well over time against scratches. But these are minor things. Overall, I think the E1505 ROCKS - especially for the price! Only time will tell if it holds up well. Hope this helps people deciding on which brand of Dell or which brand of notebook to buy. Regardless, I have found this website to be INVALUABLE in my decisionmaking process and I'm grateful to the administrators.

I think I'm the only person in America that likes the white/cream trim.
As for scratches, you can always get a snap on cover if you're worried about it.
