I hope your next notebook behaves. It has so far and well above my expectations (the Sony). I have a buyer lined up if I were to sell the ASUS and go with the Sony. Right now, it looks that way...all depends on how the keyboard feels when I get it back later. If it feels just like how I got it then I'll keep it. There are a lot of things I like about the ASUS (tv tuner, X700), especially now that I have a large LCD.
The Sony one is **** near perfect. No flex, whatsoever and the screen kills the ASUS one.
I also bought a 23'' LCD for it at home, so the mark on the LCD is not a big deal anyways. Im glad I didnt pay $680 to replace it, when I got the 23'' for just a little more than that and has much more benefit with it.

Sell both your laptops. Get one of those $300 eMachines desktops. Or an Etch-a-Sketch; it'll fit your needs just fine. Donate all the money squandered on laptops and indecision to charity. Then, and only then will you cease to be a blight upon this world, and stop wasting the time of good people trying to help you.
