How many hours can I expect from DELL E1505 9-Cell Battery?
Hi guys. I was wondering what I can expect out of the 9-cell battery from E1505 doing basic tasks such as surfing the web, office suite works, medium brightness on the monitor and wireless on 24/7? DELL websites says about 5.33 (up to). Thanks again.

I would estimate around 2.5-3.0 with screen at full brightness and wireless enabled. I get about 1.5 on my I9300 with full screen brightness and wireless on with a 6-cell.
So you should get at least 2.5-3.0.

i have a dell 6000 (the predecesor of the 1505) with a 9 cel batt. using all power saving tricks (wifi off, screen all the way down, undervolted), i get about 6:45.
regular voltage i get about 6:00
normal usage, i'm not too sure as i don't usually go battery only, but i would estimate somewhere in the 4 to 5 hr range with wifi on, screen halfway, etc.

Thank you. :) I was a former owner of 8600. I was fairly disappointed with the monitor and gave up on Dell laptops and displays until I had a chance to use one of my group partner's laptop with truelife (glassy display). Wow. I was just floored by the clarity and the new design Dell offered.
I just purchased a E1505 with truelife, 1GB Memory, 60GB HDD and 9-cell battery with duo core processor. The new Dell models look great and I'm very excited about the truelife display.

The 8600 I had was a 75watt primary battery and gave me about 3 hours to 3:10 with wifi on and normal brightness settings. Pretty good. My dad's B120 lasts about 2 hours tops.

Even with brightness turned all the way up and wifi on....you could easily get around 3.5-4 hours.

What are your opinions on the 6000 or E1505 for portability? Virtually they are the same model and was wondering if it is too bulky for travels. I am not looking for a desktop replacement, most of the time I will be using this for traveling and in school library or other hotspots.

I have a E1505 with a 9 cell but i have the x1400 and a 7200rpm drive and my battery lasts 3-4 hours with normal use. Probably could squeeze 5 hours if i tried
