Question:
.94 cent diff. dv5000-dv8000?!?
With the same* custimzation, I am getting a .94 cent difference between HP's dv5000t, and the dv8000t!
*the unavoidable diffs are: 5k: 12-cell batt, 1x1G RAM, brightview @ 1280x800 15.4" V.S. 8k: 8-cell batt, 2x512 RAM. default disp @ 1440x900 17".
This is interesting; so which to go with? with said config, the 5k gets 5:55 est. batt life VS 8k's 3:28, that's my biggest prob.
Also, 8k's almost 2" bigger and 2 lbs heavier;
- Which has better resolution per inch?

Depends on you needs. 17'' is a tue DTR, while 15'' is still quite portable.
I personally, do not need a heavy DTR and would choose the 15''.
1gb of RAM is better on one chip.
The resolution on the 15'' screen is fine for me and most people here but still quite a few people complain about it being too large. I think 5000t is better per inch.
