Hello mesagsxbkr, I own a DV1650ca notebook.
I think that it's a great notebook for everyday users who don't use their notebooks to play games or need intense graphics. This notebook is fast, has a nice screen and good overall build quality. I use mine for watching dvd's, listen to music, office work, internet and a little DOTA every now and then and I think it's perfect for its price. If money is not a factor, I would recommand something with a bit more mobility (12-inch duo cores); as most offer similar specs, but with added size and weight advantage.
Note: I have small hands, so the smaller size is an advantage for me; plus I need to travel with my notebook alot.

Without knowing your budget or what you plan to do with it, it is hard to help. Perhaps you should consider the FAQ and post there. Something like the ThinkPad T60 will offer better quality.
