Question:
Asus W3v Ram question
I bought my W3v in early July. Now that summer is here I feel like the 512 RAM isn't good enough, since I've becoming addicted to Civilization 4. I was going to purchase a 1GB stick from newegg (where I think the everyone should go for upgrading... such good prices). Unfortunately, I don't know anything about what is compatible and what isn't, so I was hoping someone could let me know if this would work on why W3v or not.
It's a Corsair. I though I read somewhere on this forum that they're a reputable brand.
Thanks

W3V uses DDR2 PC4200, PC4200 is 533MHZ and support up to 1GB for each slot. It can compatable with another brand if you are using different brand.

Re: Asus W3v Ram question
2 memory slots in the bottom and under the keyboard. If you want to install one memory stick under the keyboard, you need to unlock 3 keyboard latches which locate in [Esc],[F9]&[Del], then pull out the keyboard forward and lay the keyboard on the front side. You will see a memory metal cover under the keyboard, the push the memory cover to the left side and lift it up. A memory slot locate there.
