7900 GS 3DMark05 score!
Ok, I finally got all the drivers and stuff installed on the new E1705 with the 7900 GS. I went with the latest drivers from TweaksRus, the 84.56 v. 2.40. Temperature wise, on stock settings of 375 MHz 507 MHz, the temperature was around 70C... after the overclocking to 430 and 581, the temps only rose slightly to 74C.
I just ran 3DMark 05... the temperature after the test was 58C! And my score on the first tun was: 6380. Is that good? :confused:

Thats about right on target.
My M170 with a 7800GTX got 6500. And the 7800GTX is slightly better
with that said, your score is right on par

You can always overclock it, but i wouldnt push the card as it is. Thats a nice score.
I would also run 3dMark06, and PCmark05

So the 70C and 74C are when the card is not running any heavy apps? But when you run 3dmark05 it was only 58C?! That sounds very strange for the temp to drop when you are running 3dmark05. Is the 6380 when overclocked or stock?

That's an excellent score; the Go7900GS is an incredible card not only for its 3D performance, but also because it has such a low (20W) power consumption. For comparison, the Go7800GTX uses 40W; it manages about 6600-6800 in a Dell XPS M170. You are very close to that with a much more efficent card.
I wouldn't overclock that card; it is plenty fast on stock.
Temperatures look normal.

That score IS overclocked score :) I didn't get a chance to do stock scores because I was too impatient when installing the new stuff!!!

Nice scores, but it's weird that your temp dropped while running 3D Mark. That can't be right.
