Question:
.avi files on OSX
I'm a first time osx user and just realized the most of my movies are in .avi files and quicktime will not play this. I did a quick google search and did not find a definitive answer for what player or codec I have to install.
What is everyone using to play .avi files on their mac? What are other windows video files I should worry about on the mac?
thx

OK, thx.
New question, I downloaded and installed azureus but when I try to run it, the image shows up on the dock for a few seconds and disappears. The program doesn't run at all.
*edit*
You have to download the universal binary version. Found here...

I would highly recommend MPlayer (or MPlayer OSX as the Mac OS X version is called).
