Considering buying an alienware

Question:
Considering buying an alienware
Hi, i am considering buying an alienware laptop, does the alienware get hot?, do alienware laptop use some sort of shock protection? , DOES IT HAVE JUNKWARE?, can you haggle with them? are they worth it (value for money, compared with other brand of similar quality/performace)? are they reliable/durable?
thanks in advance

Re: Considering buying an alienware
All I know is that 90% of the people who have an Alienware and need customer support get terrible assistance and there have been a lot of bad experiences. As far as junkware, there was absolutely none on my friends new Sentia. Just the recycle bin and the GUI customizer.

There is no junkware at all on Alienware PCs, they are very clean.

Sager is another brand with similar performance. The M1710 is a great notebook as well. Personally going for a high performance laptop, I would go with Sager. I Think Chaz would agree as well.

You really should look around this forum for all the bad alienware experiences. Just so you know what can happen if you get one. get a sager same thing but cheaper.

Not sure if they ship to where you are. you're probably right... but how on earth can they claim that they're the best?!?! ck ck ck... shameful, the thing why i'm considering alienware is because their computer is (so i'm told) junkware free. oh btw i can't get any sager here in australia, not that i would want to anyway...

Hey, i just noticed something, the people who got the most problem are the system with desktop chip = overheating, but the thing is, i also think that they have some sort of shortage with their supply or that they don't keep excess spare parts

Chaz posted a review of the m9700 the other day im not sure where it is though. Looks very good (benchies amazing), and in answer to your sound question from what was there it was pretty darn good (subwoofer on bottom and all).
AND YES NO JUNKWARE!!!!!!!!! (we just got an HP desktop that was absolutely infested)
Btw it's based on an Arima if I am not mistaken.
