Inspiron E1705
Im looking at a Dell Inspiron E1705. One thing holding me back from buying it, is my experience with my Dimension 3000. It SUCKS:(
Maybe its just the D3000 thats performance sucks...
IDK, second thoughts about the e1705...I could get A LOT for the $2600 price tag [I customized it.:) ]

there are TONS of threads on the E1705. most love it. Perhaps you should head to the What should I buy forum and fill out the FAQ. someone will be able to point you in the right direction

For that price, even with a Dell coupon, you could configure a custom Alienware to match the Amilo Xi, which you mentioned in another thread. I guess it depends on how true the Alienware complaints are. My roommate has never had trouble with them. But considering that Dell bought Alienware, I don't see how one could be much worse than the other.

Yea, I am really leaning towards alienware. The Area 51 m5750, or the Aurora m9700. I could get either one of those for $2300...:o :)
