I am on the last few legs of buying a laptop. Right now its the 1505 vs the 5000t. I know there are people that will only buy a Dell etc, but really which one is better?

If you go with the hp, be careful of their keyboards. I have heard hp owners say that the only thing that they dont like about their hp is the keyboard.

personally, I would go with the HP since it has a better built quality compared to the Inpsiron.

I love my sig system... right now, you can get the same system for like $50 to $100 cheaper...
I bought dell because the X1400 being better than 7400 Go and dell was and still is cheaper than similarly configured HP laptops...
but I think quality of the two is the same, both are comsumer based.

the new business version laptops of HP have excellent keyboards. Far better than the Latitudes. This was the determining factor for me.

HP has way better quality than Dell. You should look into the dv6000t, it has the new black glossy finish. There are a lot of offers going on in the HP website right now. Check it out.

It depends on what you want/need.
If you want something fast with a relatively low price that is fairly reliable, I'd go for the Dell (make sure to fork out extra for the warranty). If you want something a little more flashy and better built, go for the HP - note that you won't get as much for the money with the HP because of Dell's coupons though.

You'll get better technical support for the HP.
You have the option for a TV tuner on the HP.
