Do NOT BUY ALIENWARE. I had to send mine back to Ireland 5 times in the first Month. BSOD's left right and centre. 5 delieveries. 5 collections. Hours on the phone and writing emails. Disgusted and appauled ..... would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. Do not buy.

I'm sorry that you had so many problems with your laptop. Normally BSODs can be fixed fairly easy once the problem is determined, and most of the time that doesn't have to do with the hardware. Usually BSODs are caused by driver or XP issues.

Well sometimes probelms occur. It is unfair to say "alienware sucks" because you had one issue. If multiple people have lots of issues, it still doesn't mean they suck. Why? Sometimes a crap product is released. Remember that horrible Motorolla phone where the attenna broke off, the v.90? That phone sucked, and I was angry with Motorolla but I didn't say Motorolla sucked. The next phone I bought from them, the Razr v3. is awesome. **** happens in manufacturing or in technical issues sometimes. If they suck forever, then they suck. Alienware just merged with Dell btw. They are seperate business units for the most part though.

It's off topic. But I know a guy who's on his 6th Razr. All the others had issues/problem. Guess it serves as a reminder the so called best can also fail.
BTw, I don't by that AW will go downhill just because they were purchased by Dell.

If anything things will improve now that dell bought them or at least it seems that way. From what I've heard they are having fewer issues getting parts (its been a big issue at aw) and things are becoming faster, cheaper and more efficient. So prices may come down also-as they should. Hopefully service will improve as well.
