connect to routers to one modem?

Question:
connect to routers to one modem?
Can you connect a wireless router to another wireless router with only one modem?
I want to use a wireless router to connect to another wireless router in order to access the internet.
I need to use an ethernet cable to hook up my desktop and Xbox 360. I want to buy another router to link to my current router to be able to play my 360 and use my desktop. Also i am hoping that the new router will help alleviate some of the weaker signal areas in my house.
Can i hook the two up wirelessly or will i have to run a cable between them?
Thanks in advance

Re: connect to routers to one modem?
If you do it wirelessly, then you're defeating the purpose of adding the second wireless access point. All the wireless traffic from both routers will have to go through the first access point to get to the internet. What you should do is run a LAN cable from the first router to the second.
