computer to computer internet
a verry off the wall question here, since my notebook has wi-fi, if i connected to another computer without wi-fi with a cat5, could that computer acess the internet through my notebook?

Yup, it's entirely possible using Windows Internet Connection Sharing. The cat5 cable you use has to be a crossover cable though, not patch cable. Otherwise it won't work. Here's a link to Microsoft's own instructions on setting up ICS:
