Question:
Laptop Cleaner?
When i type for a long time a very slight stain were my palm is formed i tryed washing off with soap/water but dosnt work anyone suggest something?

Is it a stain or is it paint starting to come off? I had something similar with my old HP Pavilion, but it was paint coming off ever so little by little.

hmm not 100% sure but id say stain coz i did scrub with water and small little bit came off like made it lesser stain but it is still there

try either some good old 409 (I prefer the grease cutting mixes) or even some Windex. Nothing abrasive...if it is a plastic case pretty much any household cleaner will work on the CASE ONLY not the display. For the display I use the same cleaner I use for my glasses with anti-glare coating. Never had any issues with those cleaners and I clean my palm rest & mouse pad once daily. Oh, I use an el cheap microfiber cloth that come in bundles of like a dozen in the automotive department at WallyWorld for like $5...
BTW, the oil in some people's skin can change the color of some urethane and plastics. This discoloration cannot be undone or removed. You want to be sure that is not the case here...

Thx Grumpy how will i stop the discolouration other than washing hands is there a special like spray to protectthe lappys plastics or sumtin?

most welcome...actually you can't stop it because it is just your body chemistry that is causing the change. Frequent cleaning should slow the process down though.
I am not sure if there are any palm rest covers...hmmm...never even thought of that...you could always try finding a non-permenant vinyl cling sort of thing...but that might have an issue of getting pretty sticky quickly and the vinyl clings are not that hard a surface.

hmm yer thx again i currently use like a little peice of material now were my palm goes but still after scrubbing away even with carpolish there is a slight prob discolouration lol owell. thx again

I have always been fond of H2O and good old Elbow Grease. Natures natural cleaner....and cheap!

Problem I always had with using plain old water is oils are not as a rule terribly water soluble. So, they tend remain embedded in the surface after washing with water. Over time a build up seemed to occur for me. That was why I made the switch to use the grease cutting version of 409. Not like a bottle of 409 is expensive. A bottle would likely last, what 10 years? ;)
I also find that a lot of fast small cleanings (like once daily) work better for me then once monthly or whatever. Less to remove each time it gets wiped down. But between work and goofing-off, I am on my system for 8-12hrs every day so it sees a lot of use.
